I saw a Melissa Gilbert movie recently and noticed she looked weird. I then thought I'd check on the internet to see if it would say she got plastic surgery and sure enough it does. Too bad....she was very beautiful. I don't think I want to see her movies anymore. Yes we shouldn't worry about looks, but when you change it on purpose I don't think it applies.

I thought we were all going to grow old together. Guess not. Sad-now I picture the "new Melissa" instead of the one I grew up watching. Sad

My family and I were watching the Hallmark movie the other night. The only reason I turned it on was because I saw Melissa Gilbert's name (we are huge "Little House" fans). I asked my family to guess who Melissa is and they had no idea...I wouldn't have been able to guess either unless I had seen her name in the intro's. I was shocked and saddened when I saw her. Honestly, I found her scary and freakish looking. I know she is in Hollywood and wants to look good, but she went way overboard. She looks like a 65 year old women trying to look 45.

In the face she looks like some of the women in the Hollywood Wives show. Way overdone on the cosmetic surgery. Shame she was naturally beautiful and didn't need it.

Oh good, I thought it was just me. I made it 9 mins into the Hallmark movie when I had to pull out my computer and type "Did MG have plastic surgery"?! I thought she was so pretty now not so much. If it's not broke don't try to fix it!

Watching her right now in the Hallmark made for TV movie and she looks God Awful! Her face is hard, her mouth completely stretched out, her chest way too large, her red hair insanely "red". Where is that beautiful girl we all grew up with? I understand that she is a grown woman but like everyone else said she collapsed at the pressure of Hollywood. And to the woman who said she was not involved with drugs or alcohol-that is not true. She has been interviewed many times and talks specifically about that. She was a heavy drinker and smoker and did do drugs. But my God, a full face lift, Botox, flared nostrils, etc. I am so busy trying to find the old Melissa-completely distracted. I hear the voice...but the face does not match. Perhaps this had something to do with her current marriage falling apart...

I turned on the Hallmark Christmas movie and thought I recognized Melissa's voice. But I could not tell if it was her when I looked at the actress. I had to look the movie up to see who the star was. I agree with many who have commented on her previous natural beauty. It is so sad that women think they have to have these 'touch-ups". They rarely, if ever, are an improvement. And in Melissa's case - definitely not.

I wanted to see MG movie on the Hallmark channel bc I have always liked her since Little House. But if it wasn't for her voice I wouldn't have known it was her. Don't these actors have friends and family that could honestly advise them to stop the surgery and to stay true to themselves ? Once you change your face you could never go back! She scares me!

Just saw a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie that Melissa will star in tomorrow. At first I thought I was imagining things when I thought her cheeks looked larger than normal for her age and proportions. Additionally her eyes looked hard maybe whixh is due to the imbalance of whatever procedure she had done - fat infections? Such a beautiful woman before all the plastic surgery. I know she won't see these comments but I hope she will let mother nature allow her to age gracefully as the beauty she was born to be. I'm a 47 year old woman who believes natural beauties such as Melissa never needs any cosmetic adjustments.

Someone said she looked liked Joan Rivers and her daughter Melissa and, must have had the same Plastic Surgeon. I was thinking the same thing ...it's really freaky. I actually was looking to see ho her plastic surgeon was and came arross this site. I think I would want to look like anyone but Joan Rivers. Anyway, just weird that I read the same thing I was thinking. I suppose though if I had the money, I would be wanting to look younger too.

It seems that actresses all get the same nose and eyes when they hit a certain age. Line them up side-by-side and you couldn't tell them apart.

Well, she was never pretty and certainly not beautiful and now she looks like a freak! Her yellow teeth always bothered me a lot! Sorry, but she looks like a monster now. Ugh!

Tonight I saw her on America's funniest videos (repeat I guess) and it was, freaking WIERD!! She kept looking at herself in the camera, flipping her hair back and forth...standing with her arms in a way that was just odd. Kept moving...Her son was playing a game with Tom and all I could think was WTF? She was once listed at one of the 'most beautiful" UGH. I'm 46 and if I looked like that...I'd crawl in a hole...YUCK..YUCK..YUCK!! Fake boobs, pasty face, freakish lips and eyes...MG...DANG girl...why'd you DO that??? SAD!!! and SCARED!!!!

I've always thought her nose job made her look unnatural. Sadly, that's where my attention is drawn when I see her face in interviews, movies, etc.

Melissa admitted in her book that she had multiple nose jobs starting at age 18 and two boob jobs. She also had a face lift due to heavy smoking from ages 17-45 around 2006. She had huge lip injections. I don't understand why she keeps dying her hair bright orange like Ronald McDonald. She was a natural beauty on Little House with her brown hair.

I saw Melissa in a movie with Lyndsay Wagner recently and I think she looks great. We are the same age and I grew up watching her on Little House. Melissa you look great!

Just saw MG on the Dr. Dru show. As a near 47 year old that grew up with "Laura Ingalls" I have to say that the purpose of the interview was lost on me due, completely, to my shock at seeing the quantity of work done on Gilbert! Honestly, I am SOOOOO disappointed. She was such an earthy, beautiful person. Why in the world would she want to turn herself in to the cougar "barbie" she looks like now? If I hadn't known, by name, that she was one of the interviewees, I never would have recognized her at all. There is just something wrong about that!!!!!

Just saw Melissa Gilbert on Dr Drew show and she looks like a typical "Housewives" chick. It is so obvious she has the botox lips and the expressionless botox all over her face. It was shocking in fact. Don't care about the boobs really because big or small you have plenty of things to hold them in the right place. But her face does not look natural. EWWWW

It's sad she didn't choose to keep her original face as she would have been considered cute and petite as a 47 yr old. The plastic makes her look in her 50's. These women/men don't realize how obvious the 'waxy tight skin looks! it is not doing them any favours. her nose is horrific!totally mis-shapen and blobby. i dont remember her old nose being that bad. the rest of her looks fine though. who cares about the boobs?!

very sad, her early photos were great, she looked fine, now she is so fake and hardened looking. no matter what those doctors do to you, you can't turn into something you are not. this girl really made some very obvious errors in going that route. it's just a shame.

I live in the past I suppose. I love Melissa in Little House and Im a grandmother. I have watched from the beginning and still watch it over and over on youtube. my favorite is the first christmas in plumcreek...she doesnt need plastic surgery or botox. she has a natual beauty.

Well, it looks like the "Little House" on her Prairie has grown into a "Big House" thanks to plastic surgery. Let's face it, Hollywood stars trying to keep themselves "young" are doing the very opposite of that, they're creating grotesque and scary bastardizations of their former selves. But, they can't resist the temptation. They have money burning a hole in their pockets. One by one, like moths to a flame, they're succumbing to the temptation. I wonder why they don't think the same thing we do, that this just doesn't work? They must think it will work differently for them even though others look very bad. All I can say is, God bless her, but "another one bites the dust". It is best to leave "the knife" away from your body unless it is necessary to keep you alive. I don't even think gastric band surgery is justified in most cases for weight loss, it's a sham!

It's hard to know what she has gone through to feel the need to make these changes, so it would be best to give her some grace. I actually cried the first time i saw some of these pictures because i appreciated Little House so much for its unique voice in our culture. I agree that she was beautiful before and i wish she did not fall into the holywood mindset to never grow old. I still love LHOTP and will continue to appreciate it but i certainly am sad with decisions that Melissa has made just like i am about some of my own life decisions.

We just saw her Little House performance in Raleigh last evening. We were looking forward to seeing Melissa, but we were shocked by her appearance. She looked so different, we thought we missed the announcement that her part was being played by someone else. It is a sharme. We don't even feel like we saw her. We left the show at intermission.

She was an adorable child and a wonderful little child actress. I had hoped that as a child actor she had made it to adulthood unscathed. She didn't turn to drugs or booze, but sadly she's addicted to Plastic surgery. The lips and nose are the worst. Breasts look great though. What was wrong with her nose and lips before, I can understand the boob job, she was boobless before it, but she should have stopped there. Shame on the surgeon that botched up her face.

Melissa, you were naturally beautiful without the big breasts. You should love what God gave you. But, regardless of the comments, you are still very beautiful and never mind those nasty comments. If you are happy with yourself, that is all that should matter.

I just saw her and her son on "America's Funniest Home Videos" today and she looks really bad. She looks like she has had a full facelift and by a bad doctor. It's VERY obvious she's had work done and she looks terrible. This woman is only about 45 so what is wrong with her head that at 45 she needs a full facelift? Wow, it's too bad. Her good looks are gone.

She has definitely done the nose job(or several) and massive boob job. She looks so fake and barbie like. I liked her best without all the cosmetic changes.

I should add, she is unlike anyone else in Hollywood. Many of us grew up watching her grow up, and going through that awkward teenage stage could not have been easy, long before the days of touch-ups and Hannah Montana level productions. She was so real, so 'girl-next-door' so 'Laura Ingalls'. She was great. I hate to see her lose that 'realness' and turn into just another Janice Dickenson type.
