Ok--you want to know what Madonna has done? She had a thread lift, it is a procedure that goes behind the ear and uses a spiked dissolvable pipe that is inserted and then the tube is removed then the spikes stick to the skin and the skin is pulled back and any excess skin removed at the sit and a small incision is then sutured up. She had a blepharoplasty, or rather eye job as it is known, and she has had extensive Sculptra treatments all over her face and Botox. Sculptra is what accounts for the fuller cheekbones and fuller looking face. It is an injectable that originally was used for HIV facial wasting but now is used to increase facial fat volume, or collagenisis, by means of injection of the substance, a natural sugar that promotes the person's own body to create more collagen where the substance is injected (it is injected then massaged around the area to spread it evenly). This is why her cheeks look so youthful and full and her chin and mid-face as well. In addition she uses tretinoin, also known as retin-a, which increases skin cell turnover, from head to toe and sleeps in a body suit of petroleum to make her skin softer and supple looking. Yes, it is hard to be Madonna but she does prove that the cosmetic options exist to defy ageing.

Its ok to do a few things so you might look well rested but I see a lot of high check definition that seems to make your eyes look smaller and like a lion face. Less is more.. When I see people with no wrinkles I know they had something done. I may not have Madonna's body but I look a lot better than her anyday of the week at 56 and so does my mother who is 86. Ha!

She should have passed on the cheek implants.
Hope Madonna fixed that unsightly gap between her front teeth.
She looks like she works out too much as her arms and legs are overly muscular.
Otherwise, she looks great for her age.

Yes, do everything you could to look good, people laugh at you when you spoil yourself, because they like to see you suffering from stupidity, flying money for surgery and maintenance, stupidity again, depress for the consequences, stupidity again, insincere friends and bf that loves perfectness even though it's fake, if you are ugly, no one wants you, stupidity again, knowing you're gorgeous because you created yourself, not from nature, and stupidity again and again.

madonna looks very very good for her age!!! whatever she's got done on her face is totally working for her. At least she doesnt look too plastic like other people.

She had submalar implants, which are implants below the cheekbones, or combination cheekbone/submalar implants. They are huge and very obvious. The don't look good. If she wanted implants, she should have gotten smaller, more subtle ones. She also looks like she had microliposuction of her cheek fat or removal. Her cheeks were always chubby, and I don't think even weight loss would get rid of that much fat in the cheeks, and certainly not in such an artistically contoured fashion. Her face looks sculpted. She may have had a facelift of some kind (maybe a minilift, she doesn't have the excessively pulled look of a full facelift, and she's also not all that old). I don't think her plastic surgery looks good. It's too obvious. She should get smaller, more subtle implants in her cheeks, that would help.

Madonna is devoted to special kind of life, i dont believe that any of you critisyzing her would have 5% capacity to endure all the things that she does. It takes person to be extremly strong mentaly in order to achieve this, and as for you people, what makes you think you are competent to judge, just sitting in front of your screens and getting fat?! Spend more time working on yourselves, and you will have far less envy within you, and perhaps you will be happy for others...

WHEN MADONNA CAME BACK INTO THE SCENE, SHE APPEARS TO HAVE HAD A LIFT. HER FACE WAS PULLED AND SOMEWHAT LACKING FAT. I GUESS SHE REALIZED THAT SHE NEEDED TO PLOP DOWN A FEW MORE BUCKS FOR THE FILLER SO IT LOOKED RIGHT. FRANKLY FOR HER AGE, SHE LOOKS OK BUT NOT AMAZING.

she looks great but right after cheek plants without makeup she scared me and i am like the biggest madonna fan i love her but the cheek implants were not a good idea----she had her upper eyelids done--my mom had that its common as you get older---the skin was removed ----some of it---she has had collagen to fill jowls and lines---and veneers on her teeth---the rest she used to stay out of sun and eat healthy and exercise and madonna always tried to take good care of herself--------some of it is genes-----i think she has only had minor things done like collagen and eyelid skin removed that was drooping perhaps-----she does neck exercises or did

mainly collagen neck exercises physical activity----the only bigger surgery was when she had cheeks done---that suprised me im sure it was after that awful as-hole guy ritchie belitttled her to death

Oh yeah, she's had several procedures, but she looks... GREAT! And if you think that her well-preserved face is down to her "good genes", then I suggest you go look for a photo of her sisters... Not at all the same...

if you don't think she did, you're in denial. take a look at her when she starred in that James Bond movie. her cheeks still had that natural sag, which was fine. that sag has been gone for a while now. the surgery is there.

The reason she looks good at 50 is because she has always taken good care of her skin.She does not stay out on the sun . Sun and smoking should be avoided if you want youthful skin. I am 45 yrs.old and I look like 25 .

So obviously the woman looks worse without makeup but I don't think she has had surgery. Her nose looks the same as 25 years ago, her eyes - well, if she did have eye lid surgery it would have to be before her Blond Ambition Tour in 1990 - her eye lids looked very tight back then - take a look at the Arsenio Hall Show when she was a guest just before the tour kicked of. But again - if she has had surgery it's very subtle - and I actually don't think she's had any - yet.

I'm sorry but all you people saying no one looks that good at 50 without having had something done are all WRONG! My mother is 51 and looks much more beautiful and younger than Madonna does...basically it all comes down to good genes...also Madonna is of Italian background right? Italian women i have noticed seem to age very well, my mum is half Italian.

I have been a Madonna fan for 25 years. She has always been beautiful to me, and even more beautiful in her older age. This recent plastic surgery with high cheek bones, and lion appearance has disappointed me. I told women who bashed her that they could only dream of having her body and face when they turn 50. How do I defend her now? Do I tell women "you can only dream of going under the knife and looking like a cat." She was stunning in her last Oprah appearance, and beautiful during the Reinvention Tour. I loved you the way you were Madonna. I entered you Tshirt contest for the Sticky & Sweet tour and lost. Did my tshirt not look good enough for you? You don't look like the woman I grew up with. I have aged with you, and you changed your face. You don't look good enough for me anymore Madonna. Your fans loved you for who you are, the music you make, and what you have become. You will turn into an old woman who is made fun of because of all the plastic surgery. You will be the next celebrity joke....the female Michael Jackson. I don't know what to think of you anymore. 25 years of my life wasted worshiping who I thought was a powerful woman. Madonna is in the business of stage performance.... she must look good on stage and she does. I just saw her sticky sweet concert and the woman brings so much happiness to her performance,and non stop energy. Her fans adore her and she is a better person than in her youth. I do believe she is looking too skinny, her best looks were during the re-invention tour, no doubt she had the surgery then but The dif between then and now, about 10-15 lbs. A little too buff.

She is an amazing and very powerful women. She continues to recreate herself as a woman and an artist. I think she has the most awesome body ever. She is feminine and powerful. Yes, she's had plastic surgery. It's part of the industry. People have to look their best...I wish I had her surgeon. Or Angelina Jolie's or Sharon Stone's....They are even more beautiful now than when they were younger...and they are bright woman who don't have to answer to anyone but themselves! Actually, before you blame it all on plastic surgery, or aging, just look at her work-out regimen, and how ripped she has gotten. She has literally been working out so intensively, she's lost all body fat and is nothing but skin and bones and muscle. That's gotta show in her face, and there's no doubt she's had to get some plastic surgery to overcome that, but even with the plastic surgery, she'd still look so much better if she actually started to EAT something and get a little bit more FAT on her. She has that emaciated "aushwitz survivor" look.

In my opinion, Madonna has had some great work done on her face. She waited a long time, so we could all see the natural aging process happening. Then, suddenly, when she released "Confessions on a Dance Floor," her features were once again sharp and gorgeous. She looks to have had something injected in her cheecks, not actual implants like everyone is suggesting here. But, you know what......she still looks absolutely beautitul and natural, so more power to her. She's way too smart to become a plastic surgery victim. I do wish she'd do something with her hair, though! She'd look much better with straight hair that looks a little more polished and done. Not that she cares about my opinion, right?!
