For a person to achieve so much in her life, within the fields of acting, songwriting, singing, film-making and style, and to be able to update & re-invent through 5 decades really is an unprecedented achievement! Such a person would have to be ultimately determined, and Cher is definitely that.

However her determination and sheer stubbourn attitude also reflects in her appearance. Her first surgeries she considered as 'corrective procedures' for her teeth and nose. Although some speculation says she may have had her nose altered twice. She has also most certainly had a brow lift, upper & lower eyelid surgery and resurfacing procedures.
However many celebrities have had similar ammounts of surgery, but don't look anywhere near as youthful as Cher. The reasons for this are quite remarkable - To settle the 'cheek implant' rumour, she does not appear to have had cheek implants as the area around her cheekbones has remained unchanged throughout her career. Although one can't help but notice her cheeks do look different. The reason for this is because she has had her lower face filled-out. The filler work she has had is quite extra-ordinary, not only has she had her nose to mouth lines filled, but she seems to have built upon this with extensive fillers between the nasolabial area and her upper cheeks, and on the jawline, lips and chin, thereby filling out the entire lower face extensively. To be able to visualize such subtle but major alterations to her face is proof of Cher's creative genius. As far as I know, no other celebrities are sporting such successful lower face alterations as Cher. The understanding and interpretation of lower face volume is VERY new in the world of cosmetology, yet Cher was sporting such alterations in the late 90's. A lot of Botox has also 'frozen' her face, which along with the fillers, tightening, and resurfacing procedures, gives her a very 'tight look'. This sort of protein is deeply absorbed by the skin, providing skin with intensive repair, plumping and elevating moisture levels by over 400%! This form of skincare is barely legal to be sold in most countries, due to drug laws.

So with surgery, resurfacing, Botox, fillers, wigs and an religious skincare and makeup routine, coupled with good eating and excercise, Cher has achieved what could be termed a work of art. However, if she went out of control she might end up looking like Pete Burns. Although a woman of such creative talent would probably not be so stupid. From Cher, we can learn that skincare has played at least a 50% role in her preservation, which is a good advert for preventative skincare. I have met her myself, and can attest to her 'created beauty'.

Such an appearance is not for everyone, and any who desire it have a lot of work to do.

I know this is stupid and annoying but my mom and I are having a debate on when Cher had her lips done the first time. Don't think it's a good or bad thing for her to do. Don't really care, just curious.

YES Cher looks great for being 62 years old and YES she has had some work done but it is NOT to the extent that wacko tabloids have said. I have met the woman before. Have you seen her without makeup? She doesnt look 20 or 30, maybe 40 and her skin doesnt look stretched to the max...you people need to do some research and maybe meet the woman. She looks damn good but makeup at her age does wonders....SO DOES airbrushing on album photos. I think that many people get jealous because if they COULD they would do that same thing.

Cher has always been beautiful and talented. She exuded strength once she divorced Greg Allman especially. She was the "re-invent herself" celeb, long before Madonna or anyone else. She got tattoos, then they became popular and she had most of them removed, she wore clothes that boggled the mind and looked wonderful, she took her own direction. Getting her teeth straightened, her nose smoothed out are so understandable. Having to stay young in that business is a must and unfortunately all of us who critcize are the ones who always demand our stars to remain perfect. Cher has kept her dignity, has appeared in costumes that appeared to be one thing while in truth revealing not what you thought. She did not go to rehab, she did not emerge from a car with no underwear, she didn't neglect her kids, she didn't masturbate on stage, she didn't get arrested, she didn't need to adopt kids for attention and then write a kid's book to appear angelic ....she was an individual with class and amazing talent. I think she looked wonderful in the 1970s and 1980s and at her peak in Moonstruck for my idea of perfection. I would continue to love and admire her no matter what. I wish she had stopped a couple lip surgeries ago, but it is her choice. You rock Cher! You and Tina Turner are the true epitomy of the word Diva.

Cher has had lots of plastic surgical procedures done throughout her career. At one point she looked really good. But now she looks like a grotesque caricature of herself. Why can't aging women just let it happen naturally? They end up looking freakish. I'd rather look old and like myself, than something laughable and unrecongnizable.
