hi, im going to be honest i have been listeing to cher my entire life she isa wonderful women inside and out.i think there is nthing wrong with her getting plastic surgery if she dosent like parts on her body and she wants to change it then that is up to her and theres no reason to critisize her.... most of the people in the world are probably going to get something changed on them some day . and especially since she is a star it is very important to look beautiful... so dont critisize her just let her do what she thinks is right and go on with her life.

i grow up listening to Cher as a child, and i have always always loved her music, her Voice is one of the best out there. so what if she has had her teeth fixed and he lips done. who cares (i don't) as in the end she makes the changes slowly so it is not so drastic.

I first saw Cher in 65 when she and Sonny were together. She looked different and very mysterious and that made her beautiful! Her unusual look, clothes and hair started a lot of trends. But when she began having plastic surgery, I was dissapointed. She did look good on their show in the early 70's. But later, her eyelids looked stuck open, liked she never relaxed them. That made if difficult to look at her. From there it got worse, the dental work and lip enhancement changed the way her mouth looked and I thought the way it looked before was much, much better. I think she saw them as flaws but it was natural and not that bad. The cheek implants really completed the freakish look she has now. She's got to look at old photos now and see that doesn't look better. When will people learn? I find it hard to look at her now.

I love Cher. Honestly there is nothing wrong with plastic surgery. We are in a world where looking youthful is a big part of a celebrity's career. Cher has been in the spotlight for over 40 years. She got her break when she just 16/17. Being of that age she looked very natural and gorgeous. People raved at her beauty and many women set her as the bar to look like. So of course as she got older and stayed in the spotlight people knew her not only for her talents but her beauty which was beginning to fade. Her first 2 surgeries where completely understandable. Her teeth were crooked to a point and her nose was a little bigger than average which in the celebrity world can be a problem. As she got older her other surgeries just helped her stay looking youthful. I think she still looks natural even with the work she's had done. Her boob job only raised her a cup size it wasn't like she went and got these huge boobs. I didn't think she needed the lips done but that was her choice. Also even if she wouldn't have gotten all the work done she would more than likely still look amazing. As you get older your face thins out usually so her cheekbones would've come out anyways,with all the exercising and healthy lifestyle she has her skin would look flawless and her body would be in amazing physical condition too. What a women.

In my opinion Cher was her most beautiful in "Moonstruck" during the opera sequence. Of course what plastic surgery she has had is her business. As a longtime Cher fan....really disappointed in the way she now looks. She's lost the natural ethnic beauty she had. Her lips are especially horrible.

She totally has them in old photos -- she had 'em back on the Sonny and Cher show (she's like 16 or 17 in the one photo here where they don't seem prominent).

I'm a guy with pretty strong cheekbones, and I notice they're getting a lot more prominent as I age. Not sure why.

Since we're on the subject of jokers, Meg Ryan is even more hideous; "America's Sweetheart" has wanted so desperately to let everyone know she's not so sweet, she finally convinced us. She also looks like a Batman villain with that ridiculous smile and "trout pout." You'd think with all her money she could look at least a little more improved.

I don't know the name of Cher's plastic surgeon however I am sure that you could find that info some where on the internet.

Now , personally I think that Cher went way a little too far with all of her cosmetic surgeries. I don't think she really looks like herself. I understand wanting to look good all of us do. However, women don't necessarily have to try to look younger to look attractive. You can still look your age whatever that age is and look attractive and/or sexy.

I would like to suggest that you take a look at a few other female celebrities who I think look fantastic for their respective ages and who have probably had some type of work done but don't necessarily look younger. However, they still look amazing and look completely like themselves:

Tina Turner - 71
Raquel Welch - 70
Helen Mirren - 65
Cybil Shepard - 60

And than there is Cher who is 64 years of age.

I was just telling a friend the other day (whom has had plastic surgery done (to ward off age, as any women that cares about how they look would do), that I wanted to know who Cher's plastic surgeon is, because that is the guy I would like to make me look younger. Like I could ever afford to see her guy (or any other) for that matter. But I sure wish I did. The lady looks GREAT. Well, I can't say much except good for her in all that she does; career, personal, physical. I know from what I speak, and I've had and continue to have many of the same procedures as Cher. I look at it simply as maintenance, because I work in an industry that is very concerned with physical appearance. My client's wouldn't know what to think if they ever detected a wrinkle, crease or fold on me. It's all about how an individual feels when they look into the mirror. It's not about anyone else. Whatever it takes to make you comfortable with yourself, that's the road you follow.

Cher was an attractive woman in the sixties, seventies and eighties. Around the time she released "I Found Someone"
she had a nose job and fixed her teeth. It was an excellent result that took her from a pretty woman to a beautiful one.
Then when the movie Beaches came out, it ushered in a big lip craze. Cher blew up her dainty, perfectly shaped lips into sausages. Strangely, a third lip developed underneath. She never looked quite right after that. Then another nose job which made her look pinched and wizened. Now instead of looking more beautiful and younger she just looks coarser.
Too bad she didn't know when to stop.

Okay. I don't think Cher is ugly but I also don't think that she is pretty. She has very strong features.

I have been told that I look like her but I don't consider that a compliment and I am much, much, much younger than she is.
Although, I have also been told that I look like Liv Tyler, Hunter Tylo, Jennifer Aniston, and Milla Jovovich. I think the Liv Tyler and Milla Jovovich comparison is closer because of my eye colour and smaller face.
So, people see different things I suppose. But none of these women resemble each other so it makes me think it is my long dark hair which I might have to change.

Cher is the classic example that plastic surgery does not always make one beautiful. Cher was never beautiful...and all the plastic surgery in the world will never make her beautiful. Ditto Joan Rivers. Both look fantastic for their age (thanks to all those cosmetic surgeons), but neither are beautiful, and both know it ...(which is why they keep having prodedures done in their desperate and costly attempt to be otherwise).

I think Cher looks great, however, the lips are a little too plumped, but again, it is her body & her decision. She still is damn sexy for her age, & i do think those who knock her & make fun are actually jealous. Alot of why Cher looks good is also her nationality too, Armenian/Cherokee blood, heck, they look good almost their whole lives. Look at pics of her mom, she's still a knockout too. For a person to achieve so much in her life, within the fields of acting, songwriting, singing, film-making and style, and to be able to update & re-invent through 5 decades really is an unprecedented achievement! Such a person would have to be ultimately determined, and Cher is definitely that.

However her determination and sheer stubbourn attitude also reflects in her appearance. Her first surgeries she considered as 'corrective procedures' for her teeth and nose. Although some speculation says she may have had her nose altered twice. She has also most certainly had a brow lift, upper & lower eyelid surgery and resurfacing procedures.
However many celebrities have had similar ammounts of surgery, but don't look anywhere near as youthful as Cher. The reasons for this are quite remarkable - To settle the 'cheek implant' rumour, she does not appear to have had cheek implants as the area around her cheekbones has remained unchanged throughout her career. Although one can't help but notice her cheeks do look different. The reason for this is because she has had her lower face filled-out. The filler work she has had is quite extra-ordinary, not only has she had her nose to mouth lines filled, but she seems to have built upon this with extensive fillers between the nasolabial area and her upper cheeks, and on the jawline, lips and chin, thereby filling out the entire lower face extensively. To be able to visualize such subtle but major alterations to her face is proof of Cher's creative genius. As far as I know, no other celebrities are sporting such successful lower face alterations as Cher. The understanding and interpretation of lower face volume is VERY new in the world of cosmetology, yet Cher was sporting such alterations in the late 90's. A rumour also circulated that Cher was buying biological injection-grade Hyaluronin protein (Hyaluronic acid), mixing it with water, antioxidants & preservatives and then bottling it to be directly applied to the surface of her skin. This sort of protein is deeply absorbed by the skin, providing skin with intensive repair, plumping and elevating moisture levels by over 400%! This form of skincare is barely legal to be sold in most countries, due to drug laws.

So with surgery, resurfacing, Botox, fillers, wigs and an religious skincare and makeup routine, coupled with good eating and excercise, Cher has achieved what could be termed a work of art. However, if she went out of control she might end up looking like Pete Burns. Although a woman of such creative talent would probably not be so stupid. From Cher, we can learn that skincare has played at least a 50% role in her preservation, which is a good advert for preventative skincare. I have met her myself, and can attest to her 'created beauty'.

Such an appearance is not for everyone, and any who desire it have a lot of work to do.

YES Cher looks great for being 62 years old and YES she has had some work done but it is NOT to the extent that wacko tabloids have said. I have met the woman before. Cher has always been beautiful and talented. She exuded strength once she divorced Greg Allman especially. She was the "re-invent herself" celeb, long before Madonna or anyone else. She got tattoos, then they became popular and she had most of them removed, she wore clothes that boggled the mind and looked wonderful, she took her own direction. Getting her teeth straightened, her nose smoothed out are so understandable. Having to stay young in that business is a must and unfortunately all of us who critcize are the ones who always demand our stars to remain perfect.
